How to make a worksheet

If you’d like to help children learn (and help our site grow!) please consider making and uploading worksheets. They are fun to make and it’s not hard. Below are instructions for editing and saving worksheets using LibreOffice.

You can use any document editor like Open Office, Microsoft Word, or Adobe Acrobat to create/edit PDF’s. See the Helpful page for more information about software options.

Step 1

Download a blank worksheet here. Different computers/tablets handle downloads differently. You may have to go to the worksheet (view it) and choose “file” > “save as” (adamschool), or you may be able to right-click the worksheet link and do a “save page as”.

Once you have saved the file “adamschool” you are ready to create your own worksheets!

Step 2

In this example, we will be using a program called “LibreOffice”. This is a (free) open-source program. If you don’t have the program, you can download it here. If you need help installing it, instructions are on the OfficeLibre website.

Once you have LibreOffice installed and open, you will need to open the file you downloaded in Step 1. The file is named “adamschool” or “adamschool.pdf”. It should be in your “downloads” folder, or the folder you chose when downloading.

Step 3

Create/Edit the worksheet to your liking! If you include images, please make sure they are public domain (or original art). We cannot post copyrighted material.

Step 4

Export your worksheet as a PDF. Use the menu at the top and follow File > Export as PDF. A new window will appear. Press “EXPORT” and give your file a name, and that’s it!

Step 5

Upload your worksheet! You can send us your worksheet via email using this link or you can upload them using this form.
